Colin Goudelocke MD

Hello, I'm Dr. Colin Goudelocke, a urologist from Lafayette, Louisiana, and I focus on bladder health and urinary incontinence. Today, I'm happy to be serving in the vibrant New Orleans area, and I also see patients on the Northshore. I believe that success in my field comes from being knowledgeable, dedicated, and having a real love for my work.

I started my career in General Urology after getting my medical degree. During my intense residency program, I was attracted to the challenging nature of incontinence. That led me to take up additional training at the Medical University of South Carolina, Charleston.

Although I treat both men and women with issues with incontinence, I am certified in both Urology and Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (FPMRS). That means I help patients with bladder and pelvic health issues, with a special focus on female incontinence. I'm particularly interested in the common urinary problems women experience following childbirth and menopause.

Before coming back to Louisiana, I started an incontinence clinic in Tennessee. For eight years, I helped a lot of people, aiming to improve their quality of life.

Today, I'm part of the Department of Urology faculty at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans. Not only do I treat patients, but I also teach aspiring urologists. I've always liked teaching. After all, they say that if you want to get really good at something, you should teach it every day.

In addition to teaching and treating patients. I'm heavily involved in research, especially focused on urinary incontinence. I lead many clinical trials and conduct my own research, aiming to help the medical community and improve patient outcomes. I've included a summary of my current research focus here.

Every day, I'm grateful for the chance to do what I love - help people improve their bladder health and live better lives. I wouldn't change anything about the career path I've chosen.
